KITCHENAID ICEPERIENCE: AN ICED COFFEE BRAND EXPERIENCE

KITCHENAID ICEPERIENCE: AN ICED COFFEE BRAND EXPERIENCE

Remember when London hit 36°C?
One of the hottest days the capital had experienced in 50 years… and we were right there on the South Bank, serving up seriously good iced coffee!

We created the KitchenAid Iceperience to launch the new KitchenAid KF4 Fully Automatic Espresso Machine with Iced Coffee, positioning KitchenAid as a premium choice for iced coffee at home.

And we didn’t just create one experience. Alongside the South Bank pop-up, a fleet of Iceperience vans took to the streets, stopping at high-traffic locations and major media houses across the city to serve complimentary, personalised iced coffees to grateful Londoners.

At the South Bank, visitors could create an iced coffee tailored to their own taste, watch award-winning food creator Giuseppe Federici make his signature iced coffee, and discover an exclusive recipe from pastry chef and TV presenter Ravneet Gill.

All against a backdrop of ice sculptures, laid-back summer vibes and iced coffee-inspired sundowners as the day wound down.

The thinking behind it was simple: if you want people to see a product differently, put it in their hands.

Despite the short lead time limiting longer-lead editorial opportunities, we delivered a focused media relations campaign which, alongside the Coin Street PR team, extended Iceperience well beyond its physical footprint through exposure across South Bank newsletters, websites and social channels, as well as meaningful earned, editorial and creator engagement.

Every touchpoint, from the branded vans to the drinks themselves, was designed to reinforce KitchenAid’s premium design and product-performance credentials. And the response was telling. An exit poll captured a shift from “I didn’t know this existed” to “I want this at home” – before visitors had even finished their drink.

The results:
• Over 200,000 reach

• 1.09 million tracked impressions

• 1,143 engagement actions

• 24% positive sentiment and zero negative sentiment

The takeaway for brands looking to expand a category or shift perception?

Don’t just tell people what your product can do. Create an experience that lets them discover it for themselves.
We’re proud of what we created with KitchenAid, and hugely grateful to everyone who helped bring Iceperience to life.
